Gauri Mona Patel, DDS
Dr. Mona Patel is an esteemed General Dentist and Owner at Bayshore Dental in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, with 15+ years experience of clinical practice. Driven by a passion for making her patients’ dental experiences more positive, Dr. Patel has dedicated her career to utilizing the highest standard of digital dental technology to give her patients predictable and successful results in their care. The foundation of her patient relationships is built on good communication and building trust, so education and oral health awareness are a core pillar at Bayshore Dental.
Her practice is distinguished by its advanced digital workflows, CEREC same-day crown technology, 3D printing, and Cone Beam CT imaging, which assist Dr. Patel & her team in providing more accurate, efficient, and precise care. You will often hear her say, “When I can see better in diagnosing, I can do better for my patients.” That commitment to doing better for her patients fuels her to keep learning and growing with Continuing Education courses in her field.
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, Dr. Patel also completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Her undergraduate years were spent at the University of Michigan where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree (Go Blue!)
When not at Bayshore Dental, Dr. Patel can be seen globally as a speaker and thought leader in her field. She lectures on digital technology workflows, implantology, oral surgery, and foundational orthodontics for General Dentists, to name a few topics. Whether speaking to an audience of 4,000 colleagues at a conference or mentoring a dental student in her office, you will find that Dr. Patel is happiest when she can ‘talk dental’ to anyone who will listen.
Dr. Patel serves as a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) speaker, beta tester for DentsplySirona and Patterson Dental, and a Mentor for Implant Pathways. Her innovative office design and workflows have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the American Institute of Architects 2017 Honor Award for Design Excellence and the ADA Wells Fargo Dental Office Design of the Year Award. She is a mentor for the Marquette University School of Dentistry Mentor Program and runs local study clubs. Moreover, she holds the significant role of Wisconsin Clinical Leader for Imagen Dental Partners, further demonstrating her leadership, mentoring, and expertise in the field.
Dr. Patel is an active member of several dental associations, including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and cdocs.com.
While dentistry is her passion and purpose, Dr. Patel will tell you that her family is her “Why.” She is well settled in Milwaukee with her husband, Parag, and their greatest joy is raising their two daughters, Simrin & Siana. With them, she enjoys playing tennis, going for hikes, and cooking. She understands the sentiment that ‘the days are long, but the years are short’, so she embraces the beauty in the chaos of balancing dentistry & family, and will always welcome you to share your own ‘Why’ with her.
